Solar Farm - Decision Notice

Planning consent has been granted for the construction a 120-acre solar farm on land adjacent to the Heydon - Cawston Road. The Estate and the developers have worked closely with the small number of people who will be able to see the panels to provide screening and reduce the visual impact. We are grateful for the cooperation our neighbours and for the support of many others. The programme for construction is not confirmed but the current projection is for work to begin in 2032 by which time the land will be almost completely screened from view. The grass under the panels will be grazed by sheep thus ensuring the land provides food for human consumption as well as generating sustainable energy.
